Dr Hlengiwe Ndlovu

Postdoctoral researcher

Dr Hlengiwe Ndlovu holds a PhD in Sociology, an MA in Industrial Sociology and BA (Hons) in Sociology and International Relations from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Women and Gender Studies (CWGC), Nelson Mandela University, Port Elizabeth.

Dr Ndlovu is also a research associate at Society, Work and Political Institute (SWOP) and Transforming Humanities Through Interdisciplinary Knowledge (THInK) at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. She is a Board Member of the Soul City Institute and she serves in the Auditing, Finance and Risk Committee at Soul City Institute. Dr Ndlovu writes on questions of gender, politics, citizenship and governance. She is the co-editor of the book Rioting and Writing: Diaries of the Wits #Fallists (2017).
